Freedom Service Dogs found Marbles through the Colorado Prison Trained K9 Companion Program. The first thing you notice are her eyes. She is a beautiful dog that definitely catches your attention. She has spent over 9 months in training. She recently graduated with her dad, John, who served in the U.S. Air Force and is now retired. While serving, John was injured and now suffers from both Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Marbles will do several things to help combat the disabilities John suffers from, including “post” behind and “block” in front of him in public to make John’s personal space feel safer. He is also looking forward to Marbles going into the house first, making a sweep and then coming back to let him know every room is clear, so he feels secure entering. She will also find the phone for him and nudge him if he is anxious. These two make a wonderful pair and could not be more grateful to Deckers Dogs supporters!
